Hi all, I need some help. I have this custom question for this sprint: “You will lock your Decile Hub filters to dual-national, mission-driven AI-co-working and assistant-AI startups that are likely fundraising now. First, open Decile Hub and write down your exact filter settings in a copyable format (include geography UK and US separately if possible, stage, category, and any “fundraising now” or similar toggles)...” I have looked everywhere in the Hub and cannot for the life of me figure out how to add, edit, and change filters. It seems like it should be obvious, but it just isn’t for me. I’ve even asked a couple of the AI agents, but they were no help. This screenshot is the closest I have gotten. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Where do I go? Thanks in advance.

Decile Base AI

Hey! Great question, and totally understandable to find this tricky at first.

Unfortunately, based on the information I have available, I'm not able to give you a confident step-by-step answer on exactly where the filter controls are for your specific use case in Hub. I wouldn't want to point you in the wrong direction!

A couple of suggestions:

  • Post here with your screenshot (it looks like it may not have come through) so the team and community can see exactly where you are in the interface
  • Tag @Woody Butler directly in this channel, as he's been very responsive to navigation questions like this

The Decile Hub team is great at jumping in quickly on these, so you should get a clear answer soon!

Pathwise, I went to Deals > Prospects > Pipeline. I cannot see any filter button or icon. However, upon clicking around, I can find a filtered view. I'm not sure how to add filters to filter deals according to my thesis.  @Woody Butler  The bot tells me you're good at these things?

Hi Renata, Connor here from Venture Institute. This is a custom, AI-generated sprint that has generated directions on using Decile Hub, while the features to do this don't align to these directions.

When an AI-generated set goes off the rails, it's up to you to bring it back into a useful exercise that makes sense for you and your learning objectives. Take it as a chance to explore Hub's features for filtering dealflow, and find the settings that make sense for you.

Hi Conner, thanks for the response. I'm not sure how I would know that the AI went off the rails. I'm new to VC and Decile Hub. To me, it made sense that I could go into the Hub and create and add filters so it filters prospects or deals into what I am looking for.

I did spend quite a bit of time, including getting help from someone in the Cohort who also looked, trying to figure out how to set up the filters and use them. She was also confused and couldn't understand how to filter deals. It wasn't immediately obvious to either of us that I needed to have prospects in my pipeline. It also wasn't obvious that I could not create my own filters, as the question asked. So I answered the question with what I would've done if I could've, hoping to circle back and fix the answer once I knew how to use the system.

So are you saying there is no way to customize filters?
